Interpersonal: a. Conduct an interview with a friend (not from HCI) or family member. Find out from their point of view on prejudice and discrimination. Either record the interview or write out the interview transcript.
Interviewed: Lin Jun Jie
Me: what do you think about prejudice and discrimination?
JJ: I think discrimination is something like you don’t like a certain people because they are different from you and you do things that are against them. Then I think prejudice is a thought about not liking certain people also because they are different. However, I think that discrimination is worse than prejudice because it is shown in action which will hurt the discriminated people’s feelings.
Me: can you give me some examples of discrimination?
JJ: examples of discriminations are some people don’t like certain Indian people because they are put off by the smell of their perfume that the Indians like to put on. Then this people will sometimes purposely do things that will hurt the Indians’ feelings like for example if an Indian sits next to them on bus or train, they will get up and get away from them. I think this is wrong because we should respect each others’ religion and their habits.

Intrapersonal: Who would I want to be friends with in the novel? Explain.
If I had the chance I would want to be friends with Atticus Finch.
This is because Atticus is a very wise and knowledgeable man. He knows how to teach his children well and he is also an honorable man based on him defending Tom Robinson in the trial. He had done so because he does not discriminate Blacks and just could not stand aside to see an innocent Black go to jail for a crime he never committed. Thus, I feel that if I am friends with Atticus, I can learn a lot of important values in life which can help me make a lot of important decisions.

Learning Profile
From my multiple intelligence test, I knew that my strengths were in Intrapersonal (myself smart) and Interpersonal (people smart) and that my weaknesses were in Linguistic (word smart) and Musical (music smart). This is because I can understand myself better and that I can also understand other people well. However I hope that I can work on Musical and Linguistic better through more listening to more variety of music and reading more variety of materials available to me. Through this learning profile, I hope that I can improve on both my strengths and weaknesses so as to further make myself a better person.
